How to cook bagel bites in an air fryer

One of my favorite snacks is the bagel bite. It’s tasty, and it takes no time to prep. And since I have an air fryer, cooking my bagel bites is even quicker!

I love to make bagel bites in my air fryer because it solves all my problems. I can have a quick, delicious snack and I don’t have to turn on my oven. As a bonus the total cook time when air frying is much quicker than if you cook them in your oven. They will be ready to eat in less time than it takes your oven to heat up!

Air fryers are really great for cooking frozen foods. The secret is the action of the hot making everything so crispy on the outside. You can use them to cook just about any frozen foods. try: air fryer pizza rolls, air fryer frozen egg rolls, and even air fryer frozen pizza!

Instructions

Step 1: Preheat air fryer to 390°F. This step is not required for all air fryers. However, I have found I tend to get better results using a preheated air fryer when the cooking times are short, so I do usually preheat mine when air frying foods like bagel bites (even though my air fryer brand doesn’t officially require preheating).

Step 2: Place the frozen bagel bites in the air fryer basket. Place them in a single layer and ensure there is around ½ inch between them. If you have a small cookie sheet you can air fryer the bagel bites on it, which may save your air fryer from getting grilled cheese stuck to it.

Step 3: Air fry bagel bites for 8-12 minutes. The cook time depends on how powerful your air fryer is, and I would recommend checking after around 8 minutes, and then every couple of minutes until they are done. They are cooked when the cheese is golden brown and bubbling and they have reached 160F in the center.

Step 4: Serve and devour as soon as they have cooled down enough to eat!

Storing and reheating

Store any leftover bagel bites in an air-tight container in the refrigerator, and use within 3 days.

You can reheat the bagel bites in the air fryer, air fry for 2-3 minutes until warmed through. Alternatively, you can reheat them in the microwave, 30-60 seconds on high (though they won’t be as crispy as if you reheat in the air fryer).
