How to cook rice in the microwave.
Ingredients
- 2 cups white rice
- 4 cups water
- 1 pinch salt
Directions
- Combine all ingredients in a large microwave-safe glass bowl with a lid. Stir.
- Cover, and place the bowl on a microwave-safe plate (as it may boil over during cooking), and place in the microwave. Microwave on medium for 16 minutes.
- Leave to sit in the microwave for 4 minutes after cooking.
- Remove the lid (carefully, as there may be a lot of hot steam), and fluff with a fork before serving.
