This recipe for air fryer pork chops and potatoes is the ultimate one-pan wonder. Crispy golden pork chops and crispy golden potatoes cooked together in the air fryer create a mouthwatering meal that's perfect for busy weeknights.
Wash the potatoes (peeling is optional!), and cut into 2cm/ 1-inch chunks. Rinse, then pat dry. Toss in a bowl with 2 tablespoons of olive oil.
Pat the pork chops dry, place in a bowl with 1 tablespoon of oil and the seasoning, and toss to coat.
Preheat the air fryer to 200°C/ 400°F.
Place the potatoes in the air fryer basket in a single layer, then place the pork chops on top.
Air fry pork chops and potatoes together for 10 minutes.
When the cook time is up check the internal temperature of the chops to ensure they have reached 63°C/ 145°F or higher in the centre [Note3]. Air fry for an additional 2-3 mintues if required
Remove the pork chops to a plate and cover with kitchen foil to rest for ten minutes.
Shake the air fryer basket to redistribute the potatoes, or use tongs to quickly flip them over. Lower the temoperature to 180°C/ 360°F, then air fry the potatoes for a final 10 minutes while the pork chops rest.
Notes
Choose a roasting variety, such as Yukon Gold, Maris Piper, Agria, or Sebago potatoes, or another red, yellow or golden variety.
You can substitute your favourite pork seasoning rub, use around 1 tablespoon per chop.
Use an instant-read thermometer to check the temperature in the centre of the thickest chop.
