2tablespoonsmelted butter
1tablespoonsoft brown sugar
1teaspoonmixed spice
Instructions
Peel, halve and core the pears. Mix the brown sugar and spice mix together in a small bowl.
Put the melted butter into a small baking dish [Note 2]. Press the pear halves into the melted butter cut side down, then flip them over. Sprinkle around a third of the sugar/spice mix over the pears.
Bake in the air fryer at 360°F/ 180°C for 5 minutes.
Flip the pear halves over, baste with a little of the melted butter, and sprinkle another third of the spiced sugar over them. Air fry for 10 minutes.
Finally, flip the pear haves over again, and sprinkle with the remaining sugar. Air fry for a final 5 minutes or until tender.
Serve with a big scoop of vanilla ice cream or yogurt on the side.
Notes
Bosc pears, Bartlett, Sekel, and Anjou are good options. Choose large pears as they will shrink during cooking.
Ceramic or glass is best. Avoid pans with a non-stick coating.
