If you’ve recently purchased an air fryer, congratulations! Welcome to the revolution!
There are a few accessories that will help you make the most of your new favorite kitchen appliance. Some are essential to have (eg tongs) and a few others that you probably won’t know you need until you need them.

Silicone Tongs
Kitchen tongs are an absolute essential for transferring food in and out of the air fryer, and for food that needs to be flipped during cooking. Ones with silicone tips are best, to protect the non-stick coating of the air fryer. Plus they make it easier to pick up more delicate food like fish or veggies.

Instant-Read Thermometer
An instant-read thermometer is another essential for air frying if you will be cooking meat. It helps you to ensure meats are cooked to the perfect temperature, reducing food safety risks, and helping you get your steak cooked just right.

Oil Spray Bottle
Oil sprays allow you to just apply a very thin layer of oil to the food you are cooking, so that you can get it crispy without drowning it in oil. It is easy to apply oil evenly over the food, and you can easily add a little more during cooking if necessary. Avoid generic cooking sprays or olive oil in an aerosol can as both of these can damage the non-stick coating of your air fryer. A refillable oil spray bottle is the most cost-effective.

Silicone Air Fryer Liner
A silicone air fryer liner protects the basket it from food residue and making it easy to clean, and protect delicate foods that might get stuck the basket. Silicone liners are reusable and more eco-friendly than disposable ones, and most are dishwater-safe so they are just about as convenient to use. You want your air fryer liner to fit quite snuggly in the air fryer, so choose one that fits your specific air fryer model.

Multilayer Air Fryer Rack
A multilayer rack maximizes the cooking space in your air fryer by letting you cook food in multiple layers. They are particularly useful for foods that benefit from all-around heat exposure, such as chicken wings or vegetable chips. They work best if they fit snugly inside the air fryer basket, so make sure you choose one that's made for your particular make/ model.

A Baking Pan or Cake Tin
A small pan like this can be used for baking cakes, but can also be used to make savory dishes like lasagne, mac and cheese, and casseroles. You could use any small baking pan, but the type with a handle are useful if you have a basket air fryer as they are easier to lift out when they are hot (still using oven mitts of course). Again, be sure to choose one that will fit in your air fryer basket 7-inch pan will fit most air fryers, but larger air fryers can fit up to 9-inch pans.

Mini Pie Pans
Mini pie pans are ideal for preparing individual portions of dishes like mini quiches, individual pot pies, frittatas, tarts etc. I use them to make my breakfast of champions: Air Fryer Toast Quiche.

Silicone Muffin Pan / Egg Bite Molds
Silicone muffin pans or egg bite molds are perfect for creating individual portions of various foods, from egg bites and muffins to mini frittatas or even meatballs!
