Try my super easy homemade yum yum sauce (then ditch the store-bought stuff)!

I absolutely love this yum yum sauce recipe. It’s become my go-to when I want to add a little excitement to our regular dinner routine. The best part? It’s so quick and easy to whip up – everything I need is usually right there in my kitchen. Plus, since it’s homemade, I can customize the flavor and heat level to my liking (or my kids’ liking 🙄).

What do you need?

  1. Mayonnaise provides the creamy base for the sauce. You can use light mayonnaise if you prefer.
  2. Tomato ketchup adds sweetness and tang. Use a low-sugar variety if desired.
  3. Sriracha sauce gives the Yum Yum Sauce its signature kick. Adjust the amount according to your heat preference.
  4. Paprika lends a subtle smoky flavor and a vibrant red color to the sauce. You can use regular paprika or smoked paprika for a deeper, more complex flavor.
  5. Rice vinegaradds a mild, slightly sweet tang to balance the richness of the mayonnaise. If you don’t have rice vinegar, you can substitute with apple cider vinegar or white wine vinegar, although the flavor will be slightly different.
  6. Garlic powder, or if you prefer a stronger garlic flavor, you can use freshly minced garlic instead.

Remember, the beauty of making your own Yum Yum Sauce lies in the ability to customize it to your liking. Feel free to adjust the ratios of the ingredients to create your perfect sauce.
